More than 80 people joined us in the midst of
the biggest snowstorm in recent memory. Thanks to everyone that
made it, and thanks to all the rest who were there in spirit and
who supported us in many ways.
Emma McKenzie Stevenson was a precious baby girl from Woodbury, MN,
who courageously fought a malignant brain tumor for five months. Unfortunately,
the tumor took her life in January 2002 at just 9 months of age.
Emma’s sweet spirit lives on in the hearts of friends and family,
and with the Emma McKenzie Stevenson Foundation -- Emma’s Hope
-- a non-profit charity that supports brain tumor research and programs
that ease the burden for children and families facing long stays in
the oncology unit at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of St.
Paul and Minneapolis. Foundation events are planned by volunteers.
Prizes, gifts and auction items are donated by local businesses.
Expenses are low, so your contribution goes directly to support
this important research and vital programs.
Contributions to Emma's Hope are tax deductible. |
