The Stevenson's and their friends and family began saying thanks to the community immediately after Emma's passing. Thanks to the generosity of many people, Emma's memorial funds were used to build a playground at Erin's and Ellie's (Emma's sisters) preschool. The playground was dedicated to Emma's memory, and to Evan Kinzie, another infant from their church who passed a few months before Emma.
